YOGA BUZZ EVENT POSTER

AUDIENCE: St. Louis community members, even those not interested in yoga
GOAL: Garner attendance for a free, out-of-the-box community yoga event.
PROCESS: One of the biggest draws of this organization’s yoga events is the interesting locations. For this particular event, doing yoga at sunrise by the Gateway Arch was going to be likely the most interesting detail so I decided to really lean on the location for the main visuals of the poster. I created an illustration of the arch that is very dynamic and has a lot of depth and used a sun element to highlight the negative space of the arch and add to that depth. Because this organization wants to appeal to all types of people with their yoga events, I kept the color palette small and friendly and used a relatively neutral style of text, illustration, and layout.
OUTCOME: I created a poster that accurately conveyed the nature of the event and could help interest new people in trying yoga.
